The reason for this incompatibility is unclear, and due to Optifine being closed-source, proper investigation is not possible. One issue to note is that the mod currently does not work with Optifine since Minecraft 1.7.x. It is best suited for personal or agreed-upon usage where it greatly enhances the gaming experience compared to the standard XRay mod. However, be cautious when using this mod on servers, as many consider it a form of cheating, and you may be banned.
